Penny Engineering: Introducing Our Core Values
On 1st July 2024, Penny Hydraulics rebranded as Penny Engineering Ltd. This change reflects our growth, and the wide spectrum of comprehensive engineering capabilities and solutions we now offer.
As part of our rebrand, we felt it was a great time to introduce the core values that have shaped who we are and what we have done since the very beginning – and how we continue to achieve them today.
Our Core Values
Our core values stand at the foundation of Penny Engineering Ltd. They are the common language that we all share, providing a clear vision for decision-making and behaviour, whilst helping guide all employees in their daily actions.
In an era defined by environmental challenges and continuous change, our core values are what enable us to unify and work together towards common goals.
1. Trust
Our company values trust by fostering honest and transparent relationships. We treat everyone with respect, provide the best advice, and ensure a happy, safe, and stable workplace is maintained. We remain accountable to our commitments, communicate clearly without surprises, and recognise and appreciate hard work, motivation, initiative, and commitment.
2. Engineering
Our company is dedicated to engineering excellence by initiating curiosity in young people, offering school visits and placements, and nurturing our internal talent. We encourage tackling challenging projects that others may avoid, ensuring continuous growth and innovation within our engineering teams and the wider discipline.
3. Longevity
Our company is dedicated to sustainable progress by making positive, lasting impacts on our community and stakeholders. We innovate with eco-conscious practices to minimise our environmental impact, prioritise the company’s longevity, and maintain a diverse product portfolio to mitigate risks, ensuring long-term success.
Our Commitment to Upholding These Values
“The Board asked the Leadership Team to consider how decisions are made within the business, what needs to be considered and how decisions should be made in the future. The outcome was a set of values that we feel has served us well in the past and want to build on in the future. I am delighted to go public with these Core Values and particularly how we have been putting them into practice.” Robin Penny, Managing Director.
