Penny Engineering Pass Cyber Essentials Accreditation For Another Year

The government-backed Cyber Essentials scheme is designed to improve the resilience of UK businesses to the most common cybersecurity threats.

We are pleased to announce that Penny Engineering have passed the rescan and have attained the Cyber Essentials accreditation for another year.

Cyber attacks come in many shapes and sizes, but the vast majority are very basic in nature, carried out by relatively unskilled individuals. They’re the digital equivalent of a thief trying your front door to see if it’s unlocked.

By successfully going through a Cyber Essentials assessment, organisations not only lower their risk of serious data and financial loss but by displaying the Cyber Essentials badge they demonstrate to customers that they have taken steps to be fundamentally cyber safe.

Penny Engineering were assessed by the BSI Group and the certificate was awarded this month. Ashley Holmes, Financial Director for Penny Engineering led this project:

“We’re delighted to have gained this accreditation – security is something that is not taken lightly at Penny Engineering. It is reassuring for our customers, partners and suppliers to know that their data is safe. Cyber Essentials has also become a prerequisite for many of the tenders in the sectors that we work in.”
